Dr. Arthur O. “Art” Lee, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ professor emeritus of history, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24 at the age of 91.<\/p>\n

Dr. Lee, namesake of lecture halls in both the previous and current iteration of Hagg-Sauer Hall, was a member of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ faculty for 36 years, from 1959 until his retirement in 1995. He is the author of “University in the Pines,” considered the definitive history of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ, published in 1994 in conjunction with the university’s 75th<\/sup> anniversary celebration.<\/p>\n
