BEMIDJI, Minn. (Jan. 12, 2010)<\/strong> — For the 13th year, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ will host an evening of dinner, music, dancing and friends for its annual Snow Ball scholarship fundraiser for the Department of Music. The 2010 Snow Ball, “Dancing with the Stars,” will be held Saturday, Jan. 30 in the Beaux Arts Ballroom of Bemidji State’s Hobson Memorial Union.<\/p>\n

The event, which is black-tie optional, begins with a social hour at 6 p.m. Dinner gets underway at 7 p.m. Tickets are $60, with RSVPs due to the  Department of Music by Friday, Jan. 22. Tickets are available at the Department of Music office in Bangsberg Hall on the Bemidji State campus, or by calling (218) 755-2915.<\/p>\n

Entertainment will be provided by Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Jazz I and vocalists, under the direction of Dr. Steven Konechne, professor of music.<\/p>\n

The evening’s dinner menu features herb-crusted beef tenderloin with blackberry port wine sauce. A vegetarian meal option is also available.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Snow Ball will include a silent auction featuring items donated by area artists and businesses. Guests may dedicate a dance to a family member or friend, or to celebrate a special occasion by making a $100 donation to further support the scholarship program. All dedications will be announced at the time of the dance.<\/p>\n

The 2010 Snow Ball is sponsored by Riverwood Bank.<\/p>\n
