Dr. Jim Barta, <\/b>dean of the College of Arts, Education and Humanities, hosted a Native American flute circle at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ on April 16 as part of the Bemidji Adventures in Lifelong Learning program.<\/p>\n
In the fall of 2018, Barta participated in a hands-on Native American flute class at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ where participants, both students and community members, learned to create and play a traditional Native American flute.<\/p>\n
Bemidji Adventures in Lifelong Learning is organized exclusively to provide opportunities for continuing education in the Bemidji area. The program intends to help participants improve critical thinking skills and to appreciate the diversity of human experience through varied and lively discussions.<\/p>\n
