{"id":33041,"date":"2018-08-06T09:33:58","date_gmt":"2018-08-06T14:33:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/?p=33041"},"modified":"2018-08-06T09:37:00","modified_gmt":"2018-08-06T14:37:00","slug":"beaver-fever-finishes-8th-at-13th-annual-lake-bemidji-dragon-boat-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/2018\/08\/06\/beaver-fever-finishes-8th-at-13th-annual-lake-bemidji-dragon-boat-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Beaver Fever Finishes 8th at 13th Annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ&rsquo;s Beaver Fever team finished eighth overall and narrowly missed a Sprint Cup championship at the 13th Annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival, Aug. 3-4.<\/p>\n<p>In the Aug. 3 Sprint Cup championship, Beaver Fever won its second heat but missed the time of overall winner Nordic Whitecaps &mdash; crewed by members of the Bemidji High School ski team &mdash; by less than three seconds.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 4, the Bemidji State boat was again unable to overcome the Nordic Whitecaps, who successfully defended their Education Cup title.
