Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and free for students.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will feature Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ President Dr. Faith Hensrud as the guest narrator of Aaron Copland&rsquo;s &ldquo;Lincoln Portrait,&rdquo; along with performances honoring Duke Ellington, John Williams, John Philip Sousa, Mark Camphouse and more.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&ldquo;A Movement for Rosa,&rdquo; music honoring civil rights heroine Rosa Parks,<\/li>\n<li>&ldquo;Duke Ellington in Concert,&rdquo; a medley of Duke Ellington&rsquo;s music including Take the &ldquo;A&rdquo; Train, Don&rsquo;t Get Around Much Anymore, Caravan, Mood Indigo, and It Don&rsquo;t Mean a Thing if it Ain&rsquo;t Got that Swing,<\/li>\n<li>&ldquo;Foshay Tower Washington Memorial March,&rdquo; a Sousa march named for the Minneapolis landmark,<\/li>\n<li>&ldquo;Lincoln: Music from the Motion Picture,&rdquo; director Stephen Spielberg&rsquo;s biopic featured a score by the legendary John Williams,<\/li>\n<li>&ldquo;Ever Braver, Ever Stronger: An American Elegy,&rdquo; written in the aftermath of the 9\/11 terrorist attacks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Bemidji State&rsquo;s Wind Ensemble<\/h5>\n<p>The Wind Ensemble is open to all Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ students and rehearses three days per week. In addition to regularly programmed campus concerts, the Wind Ensemble hosts the Northern Minnesota Honor Band, an annual band festival for many of the top high school musicians Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>The ensemble takes an annual band tour with its concerts performed at many of the major high school music programs in the area.
