The presentation of the colors by the American Legion was one of several activities at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ meant to recognize veterans during the week leading up to the Veterans Day holiday. Today at noon in Hagg-Sauer Hall 100, Faith Hensrud, president of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ and Northwest Technical College and a U.S. Army veteran, will be joined by Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ alumni veterans for a &ldquo;Voices in the Field&rdquo; panel. The panelists will share stories about their service.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>On Thursday, Nov. 9,&nbsp; Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ will host a free screening of the documentary film &ldquo;Almost Sunrise&rdquo; at 1 p.m. in the Crying Wolf Room of the lower Hobson Memorial Union. &ldquo;Almost Sunrise&rdquo; follows Tom Voss and Anthony Anderson, veterans struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts in the years after they returned home from combat in Iraq.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ralph Gracie American Legion Post 14 member Harry Settle, left, raises the United States flag at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ on Monday.
