Bemidji State Students Participate in National Singing Competition

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ students participated in this year’s Minnesota chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing virtual competition.

The competition was held virtually this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Electronic submissions were entered by 13 Bemidji State students three of which were named semi-finalists; Evan Byler, a senior majoring in music education from Pennington, Blake Staines, a sophomore majoring in psychology from Clearbrook, and Emily Bergeron, a junior majoring in music from Bemidji.

Bergeron went on to compete in NATS finals and placed second in the classical treble.
