Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Professor Featured in Mathematics Journal

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Dr. Colleen Livingston, professor of mathematics, wrote an article that was selected as a 2019 Editor’s Pick for the Problems, Resources and Issues in Mathematics Undergraduate Studies journal.

Livingston’s article “Dog Treat Ball: An Activity to Introduce Systems of Differential Equations” describes using a dog treat ball to introduce systems of first order differential equations. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ alumna Dayna Jaeger ‘18 assisted Livingston in collecting data and reviewing the article during her time at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ. Her article will be available free throughout 2020.
