A community-wide discussion on the connection between women and labor with Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ faculty, staff and community members was held on Monday, March 25. Panelists included Maria Eastman, library technician, Liz Letson, Eagle Vista Ranch & Wellness Center counselor, Dr. Tiffany Holmes, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ professor of nursing, Jo Li, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Northstar Visiting Scholars Academy coordinator and Dr. Veronica Veaux, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ assistant professor of business administration.
Moderated by Colleen Deel, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ interlibrary loan and collection management librarian, panelists were asked the following questions:
- How do you think about or define labor?
- Do you see any unique or stark connections between the terms women and labor?
- What are some of the difficulties you’ve felt or see in separating your personal and professional lives?
Panelists were additionally asked to speak on gendered labor issues as they see and experience them today.
